Enjoying the sunshine.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday by going to the park:)

"All about me"

We have been so busy in school learning so many different things. 

•      We focused on all the parts of our body. 
• We decorated  plates as faces with art materials for the hair, eyes, nose, etc.
• We did so many music and movement exercises to review parts of the body. 
• We discussed which of our friends are girls and which are boys. 
• We even traced one of our friends on paper and pinned on different parts of the body. 
• We charted with pictures what we use our different body parts for. Eyes are for seeing, ears are for listening, a nose is for smelling etc..

• We practiced using scissors.We focused on putting our fingers in the correct places and then opening and closing our fingers. Some of us were really good at it.

• We are working on our social skills. We met two puppet friends, Benny and Bina. We saw that Benny wanted Bina's ball. We learned that good friends ask for turns. "Please can I have it?" and good friends want to share. So we answer with a "Yes!" or "Soon." Then our friend says "Thank you."

• We discussed our families. We talked about who is in our family. We have Mamas, Papas, Grandparents, and some of us have sisters or brothers. We said how much we love them and they love us. We sang a special song about this. These are the words: "This is my family, I love them all and they love me... x2".
